Who are we?

The association "Europe on the move" is a Bulgarian non-government organization situated in Sofia. Its creation is inspired by the integration of Bulgaria in the European union, which brings the necessity of many further activities aiming the promotion of European values and cooperation.

Our association is trying to create a productive environment of colaboration within organizations at a local, national and European level. We seek more accesible and understandable information about different European donor programs and funds. We hope this is the way to support local and regional authorities in the improvement of their absorption capacities. However, when seeking financiation from European funds, non-government organizations and business often aren`t prepared enough to elaborate projects of good quality. One of our basic objectives is to overcome these difficulties when developing social-aware project ideas.

How could we achieve that? One way is making and participating in European projects. We hope they will help us to attract more attention to topics such as active citizenship, promotion of European values an sustainable development. The members of our organization are young people, highly experienced in variety of youth activities and we are motivated to support on a high level the creation of a sustainable system of cooperation and good practices. This is a real challenge for all young people, so they would be encouraged to get involved in building their own society thus proving that each one is able to change the environment. Creativity, inititive, European awareness - this is what we are looking for. We hope to provoke their will to be a part of the current processes in society. Seminars, conferences, round tables and training courses are some of the informal methods we will use to achieve our goals.
